On the 2007 Toyota Camry, the C1391 is “BRAKE CONTROL: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM: Accumulator Leak Malfunction”. C1391 is stored if a brake fluid, internal or other leak is detected due to improper sealing in the actuator. Internal leakage is suspected if the pump motor operates frequently without braking. There is some testing that will need to be done. The system will need to be tested for any leaks. The Brake Actuator Assembly will need to be tested and inspected. And if these check ok, then next, the Skid Control Computer will need to be tested. More commonly, this is a leak or the brake actuator assembly. This may be a job better suited for the Toyota Dealer or a shop that has experience and Toyota-specific tools to do this testing. In the meantime… use caution while driving, as this problem could affect the braking system.
