On the 2001 Chrysler Sebring, when the Air Bag light is on and the Horn doesn’t work (and in most cases, the Cruise isn’t working either, if equipped) these are all related. These items are all connected by the Clockspring Assembly. This Clockspring is what keeps the wires to these items from “getting tangled” when the steering wheel is turned. This is actually a fairly common Chrysler problem. The Clockspring is located at the top of the steering column. To access, the Steering Wheel will need to be removed. Once removed, inspect the electrical connectors and wires for any loose, broken or damaged wires. If the visual inspection checks ok, replace the Clockspring Assembly.
